Under the GDPR and Data Protection Act, OPOLIS, OPOLIS Products and its community of sites are only allowed to use personal information if we have a proper reason or ‘legal basis’ to do so. In the case of OPOLIS, OPOLIS Products, and its community of sites these legal grounds are:

  • where you have given your consent, for example, you have asked to sign-up to a specific newsletter or where you have posted your own information in a comment, blog or forum on OPOLIS, INC. and its community of sites.

  • where it forms part of a community task carried out in the community interest – OPOLIS, INC. allows you to have your say on the church’s big issues and gather your opinions. • where it’s necessary for equality of opportunity or treatment, for example, so we can ensure that the views of all sections of the community population are given proper representation.
